Good morning. I don't have any nail art for this post. I just wanted t o share my bio from the Sally Hansen Contest website. It's exciting to be able to see my name on a huge companies website.
Here is the link.
There are 3 other finalists on there to that I will be competing against next month in NY for the "Grand Prize". There should be one other finalist put up on the website soon from the July contest. I am super excited!
I Just got my itinerary last week. I will be flying with my friend Jen from San Diego, CA to NY, NY without any stops and then we get to stay in the Carlton Hotel.
The competition will take place the next day in rounds of nail art. I don't have any details on that yet other than we will be competing against each other by doing nail art based on a theme. Also, we will be able to use our own tools but, not our nail polish. I am assuming that we will be using only SH nail products for that. I am kinda nervous about that part because I really want to win.
That evening there will be an "Grand Prize award ceremony" at the Gansevoort Hotel . There will be press around for the competition which is also exciting. We will be there for three days. The second day seems to be the day where everything takes place. I was told that there also might be a breakfast and a few other things that I might have to attend while I'm there. I think that if I am the winner.
It all sounds like a jam packed 3 days of nail art fun! I am hoping that I will be able to do some sight seeing while I'm there.
Anyways wish me luck!

#iheartnailart
OMG! So this morning I got a phone call from a number I didn't recognize so I didn't answer it. I didn't think anything of it. A few minutes later I got an email from Sam Blum the promotions manager for Sally Hansen letting me know that I was chosen to be a finalist in the Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Contest. I entered the color blocking month and last month for the street wear theme. My street wear theme won!
I entered not thinking that I could win. I am so glad I did. I have never been to NY so this is a huge opportunity for me. This is the nail Art that won me my spot.

I did this mani by using the Saran Wrap Technique with a brown and red polish. Then with a light grey and a thin nail art brush I added lines to create a brick wall. On the first 3 nails I painted the words "I heart nail art" in bubble lettering to look like graffiti along with some small splatters and stars. I outlined the words to make them pop out and highlighted with some white and black lines to give them a more bubbly effect. For the accent finger I used a dark blue and light blue and the SWT to create a jean look. On top of that I added dots of polish to look like paint splatter. On the pinkie I just did some thin rainbow drips because I couldn't think of anything else to do.
Colors I used:
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Black Out", "Wet Cement", "White Out", "Pacific Blue", "Blue me Away!", "Mellow Yellow", "Coral Reef", "Green with Envy", "Sun Kissed"
Sinful Colors "24/7
Finger Paints "It Baroque"
China Glaze "High Roller"

#nailartmay Day 7: Neon
Hi there,
I am a couple days late for this post. Today's theme is neon. I love doing neons as you can see in a lot of my posts. I wanted to do something different today and I'm not sure how I feel as to how these came out. They are a little psychedelic which is the look I was going for. These are definitely NOT a pretty design.
I Used Sally Hansen "White On" and neon acrylic paint for this design.

Color Blocking
I went for it and submitted into the Sally Hansen "I Heart Nail Art Contest for May". I entered on the last day and this is what I came up with...
It is similar to my post here. With this design I used more colors. I wanted to use a color theme for each nail, It came out OK. I wish my lines were cleaner. i probably shouldn't drink coffee before I paint my nails. Oh well. These were fun to wear. I used a thin nail art brush to paint the squares with the polish and then I outlines them with black acrylic paint. I used some Sally Hansen Xtreme wear polishes and some other polishes.

#nailartmay Day 4 "Star Wars"
Hello Hello,
Today's nail challenge is Star Wars. Unfortunately I am not a big fan. I have seen only one of the movies all the way through once. They're cool, just not my thing. Anyways, after searching online for about an hour at pictures I finally found what I was looking for.
These little guys were so cute and exactly what I wanted. I was originally going to pick 5 characters but, when I saw these it had exactly 10. How perfect is that?
So here they are...

These were only so hard to do because I has to do something so different for each of my 10 nails. I used a long nail art brush, dotting tool, small nail art brush, polish and acrylic paint.
I am so happy with how these came out. It was just how I envisioned it.
I would list the polishes I used but, there were too many. I hope you like :)

#NAILARTMAY DAY 1 Flowers
Yes I'm going to do this! I need some inspiration to keep posting and this is going to give me that extra push.
Today is day 1 and the theme is "flowers". I'm glad because I've been in a floral mood since it's spring time!
I've had this floral design in my head for a while so I decided to use it for today's challenge. The flowers are suppose to be blotches of paint with the messy outline of flowers.I originally wanted to use a white background and at the last minute used a grey. I think that it would have looked better with the white. I will have to try that out next time. maybe with some neon colors.
As for my liking on this I say "Eh" . They cam out OK. Not exactly how envisioned them. Oh Well. I know the neons will be way better.
Colors I used:
OPI "Oh Waiter"
Sally Hansen "Mellow Yellow"
Charming Charlie "Such a Peach"& "Lovely in Lilac"
Essie "First time"
Orly "White Tips"

Spring Flowers
Good Morning. Today I have a very springy many. This took a little time but, it was well worth it. I feel so in season with these pretty little Flowers and best of all I am using this peachy coral pastel color which I am in LOVE with.
I got this color at Charming Charlie it's called "Such a Peach". I first saw it when I took my daughter to get her hair cut and the stylist was wearing it on her toes. I had to ask her where she got it and she said she got it at Charming Charlie in the mall. It was my destiny to find this polish.
A few days later I went to get it and I couldn't find it anywhere. They had their polishes all scattered in a cubby and I couldn't find it. I asked the cashier if she had any coral polishes in the back and she said "YES". I was so excited. But, then she came out with a orange polish which was no where near this yummy pastel peach. Finally I saw a vase filled with polishes and of course I spotted It at the bottom of the vase. It was the ONLY ONE in there. She grabbed the vase for me and poured them all out and I finally had my polish. I was soooo happy. I also grabbed a pretty pastel lilac color too.
Since I couldn't dare leave a nail with just plain polish on it I added some silver studs in a frame on my accent nail.
This is the color that I will probably have on my toes all summer.
Colors I used:
Charming Charlie "Such a Peach"
Julie G "Bikini"
Sinful Colors "Savage"
Orly "Frolic"
Essie "First Timer"
Nina "French White"
So Easy Stripe Rite "Green"
