Nightmare Before Christmas

These are one of my faves. I did these last year around Christmas time because my daughter was in a group dance at school and they did it to the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack.

Last year I had done it without the stripes nail. I had seen a few other people have a black & white striped nail in their NBC art and I thought that it would add a little something more to this mani.

The stripes represent the shirt that Jack wears. The patchwork it from Sally's dress. Last year I did the curly hill on a blue background. I like the purple better cus it's more Halloweenish. I'm so mad that I can't find any pictures of the mani that I did last year.

Last year since it was around Christmas time I also added a Santa hat on top of Jacks head. jack was a bit different too. I had just a white circle as his head on top of a black base color. It is so weird to look back and see how much I have improved at nail art from just a year ago.

Inspired by Amber did it

I saw these on tumblr on amberdidit and I thought that they were way to simple and cute to pass up on doing. This mani is going to go great for this weekend considering my daughter has a Halloween themes gymnastics meet and her team is wearing purple leotards with a spider on it.

I will probably be doing this on a few people this Halloween.

Colors I used:

China Glaze "Liquid Leather" & "White on White"

Nina "Violet it Ride"

How to do "Girly Mummies"

Here is a tutorial on how to do these so cute "Girly Mummies" I love these little gals. They are a way cute twist to the traditional Halloween Mummy Nail art.

Last year I did hot pink as a background to the mummies that everyone and their mom was doing.
These were simple to do beside the bow. That was probably the most technical part. If you have fimo bows this would be a cool way to use them. I wanted to give the mummies a vintage look by creating a marble look using the Saran wrap technique. Get Nailed shows you how to do that here.

Well here's how to do them:

Step 1:
Paint your nails a bright pink color

Step 2:
Using a saran wrap technique add a lavender color on top of your pink

Step 3:
With a black striper add lines to created a weave-like pattern

Step 4:
With a black polish use the polish brush to draw a thick line across the lower part of your nail.
Then with a large dotting tool add large white dots close to each other in the center of the black bands.

Step 5:
With a white striper add a small bow at the corner above each band. Add a white dot in the center of each bow.

Step 6:
With black polish and a dotting tool add small black dots inside of each white dot to create eyes

Step 7:
With a stirper add an outline to define the bows.
Step 8:
Finally, clean up around the cuticles and add a top coat...and then you're done!

Colors I used:

China Glaze "Beauty Within", "Liquid Leather" & "White on White"
Sally Hansen "Lacy Lilac"
So easy Strip Rite "White", "Black"

Halloween Nail s Inspired by "I have a Cupcake" on You Tube

Hello Hello. After looking at other Halloween Nail Art online I came across these way too cute "monsters" done by, "ihaveacupcake". She is on You Tube with a tutorial on how to do these little guys. I absolutely love them and I probably will do them on everyone I know this Halloween.

My mom came over today and I did the full set on her except I substituted the Black Kitty for a Black Widow. I was a little disappointed by how the skeleton came out. the eyes look more like alien eyes. Oh well. I'll get it better next time. I also went with a Pink One Eyed Monster instead of a green one .

I decided to venture out a little more. I only did one monster on my ring nail. The other nails are simple polka dots and stripes with a bow. I love how these came out. They are so darn cute!.

Halloweeny

1st Day of Halloween! This is my first Halloweeny Mani of the season. I was happy with how this came out I'm just frustrated because I bought this base and top coat system from QVC and it suppose to help your nails polish last longer and make your nails longer and stronger. I won't ever be able to find out if this system works because it takes FOREVER to dry. My manis get messed up and the polish from my tips gets worn off before it dries so they aren't protected then. I think I'm just gonna stick to my Seche Vite.
